I've just got my greedy mitts on the new album Under The Iron Sea and I can honestly swear on the heart of God, the Bible and Martin Luther King that it is the best album I have heard in my lifetime.
We wrote Under The Iron Sea because we needed a record that was going to make us feel alive again.
The very words of the young British band Keane. And to
hear the record is to indeed come alive again. The album is tounchingly, sincerely human. Through the lyrics you can hear the torment of three young men at the injustices of life, love and suffering. The harsh reality of life glints from every pore. It is passionate, raw and utterly gripping.
There are the highs of Is it Any Wonder and the desperation of Crystal Ball. Every track is a testament to the skill and talent of the band.

Best album you've ever heard? Hopes and Fears was a much better overall album. This is quite good - but I dont think you could argue that its in the same ball park as a Definitely Maybe or Nevermind.
I think it's undeniable that the two albums are very different to each other. I think it's a matter of personal preference. I love both albums.
As for Definitely maybe and Nevermind; I haven't heard them so I can't comment. Are they Keane songs? If they are I'm sure they're great.
Definitely Maybe was Oasis' first album - and in my opinion one of the greatest albums ever, and Nevermind was Nirvana's second and best album. I see your profile says you dig the Arctic Monkeys - Their first album is very similar to Def Maybe.
Definitely Maybe was Oasis' first album, and in my opinion one of the greatest albums ever. Nevermind was Nirvana's second album, and I also consider that to be one of the greatest albums - along with OK Computer by Radiohead and the white album by the Beatles. My point was that Keane's second album isnt even close to those.

Oh yeah sorry, thought Nevermind rang a bell. My friend's crazy on Nirvana. I've listened to Nevermind and it's pretty awesome.
As for Oasis... well I'm a casual fan of their music. I like most of their songs but don't own any albums as such. And yeah the Monkeys are cool.
